Where Are Home Prices Seeing Fastest Increase In Nassau County?
Check out the list of communities from the North Shore to the South Shore to find the biggest price hike.
NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Home prices are rising across Nassau County. Using 2022 data from Zillow.com, Stacker compiled a list of the areas where prices are rising the most.
The biggest price hike was in Lawrence, where it cost $250,000 more than the previous year. The typical home value is $2,088,657.
Also in the Five Towns, Woodmere had an average home value of $1,094,621. According to the analysis, prices increased by $83,000 last year, or 8%. Five years ago, the average home sold for $685,000 in the hamlet.

Homeowners in Cedarhurst saw a 12.6% increase, or $120,638, to purchase in 2022 with the average price at $1,075635.
It's an 8.5% increase for home buying in Jericho, where it cost, on average, $1,073,703 in 2022.

It's only a 4.7% price jump in Manhasset, but the baseline was already higher. For 2022, Jericho homeowners shelled out $1,908,263, $85,628 more than the previous 12 months, according to Stacker's reporting.
In Great Neck, home prices increased by nearly $100,000 last year to an average of $1,461,528.
The Top 50 rankings of locations across the state also have Woodbury and its $110,000 increase to buy a home in 2022. It cost $1,308,516, on average, by year's end, in the northern Nassau community.
Similar figures could be found in Lido Beach, where prices soared by 12.7%, $121,102, to $1,077,412.
It cost nearly $150,000 more to buy a home last year in Atlantic Beach, where the average property value is $1,402,205.
The average home value in Old Westbury stands at $2,553,319, that's a $153,389 jump from the previous year.
It was also more expensive to purchase a home in Oyster Bay Cove. The latest value is $2,081,409, an increase of $159,262.
Prices are skyrocketing in Sands Point as well. The village, located in the Town of North Hempstead, saw a price change in 2022 of $160,912 to $2,695,105.
In the Town of Oyster Bay, Muttontown saw a $178,615 increase in home purchasing. The average value is $2,056,161.
Also in the Town of Oyster Bay, and also a big jump, as Mill Neck homes went for $194,495 more last year. The average home value is $2,025,596.
In Upper Brookville, buyers saw a $200,000 price hike from the previous year, putting the average home's value at $2,346,237.
