Nassau Man Attempted To Stab Woman To Death: Police

Police say they arrested him after he called 911 on himself.

An East Rockaway man was charged with attempted murder after police say he attacked a Hewlett woman with a knife at her home early Sunday morning.

According to police, they received a call for a domestic incident at 12:30 a.m. in Hewlett. Police say that Anthony Moscati, 35, of Alice Court, got into a heated argument at the home of the 39-year-old female victim and held a switchblade knife to her neck. Police say Moscati pushed the woman into a wall, causing a wond to the back of her head.

While defending herself, the woman raised her hands, and received multiple cuts and stab wounds to her hands, police say. Officers responded to a 911 call placed by Moscati and placed him under arrest without incident.
