Nassau Police, Medics Deliver Baby In Costco Parking Lot
The mother went into labor early Monday morning. Both she and her newborn daughter are doing well.
A woman received a special delivery at Costco earlier today when she gave birth in the parking lot.
Police officers responded to the parking lot of the store at 605 Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence at 8:25 a.m. When they arrived, they found a 27-year-old woman in labor. Nassau County Police medics arrived, and the officers helped them deliver a baby girl.
The mother and baby were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. They are both healthy and doing fine.
