Nassau Police Have Identified Woman Struck By Car, Put Into Coma

BREAKING: The woman was hit by a car while crossing the street.

UPDATE: Nassau police say they have identified the woman, but have not released her name yet.

ORIGINAL STORY: An unknown woman was struck by a car in Inwood early Thursday and put in a coma. Police are seeking the public's help in identifying her.

According to detectives, the woman was hit by a car at the intersection of Nassau Expressway and Mott Avenue at 6:55 a.m. Police say the driver stayed at the scene, and no criminality is suspected. The unknown woman was taken to a hospital, where she is in a coma.

The woman is white, in her mid-50s, 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 122 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
