New Police Commissioner Visits Hewlett Harbor

The commissioner spoke with village officials about enhancing policing.

The new Nassau County Police Commissioner, Patrick J. Ryder (second from left), met with Hewlett Harbor’s Mayor, Mark Weiss (center) and Trustees Len Oppenheimer, Ken Kornblau and Tom Cohen at Hewlett Harbor’s Village Hall to open up lines of communication and to exchange ideas about the important role the police department plays in addressing both quality of life and enforcement issues.

"Commissioner Ryder expressed a vision for enhanced community policing that is sure to benefit Hewlett Harbor, the Greater Five Towns, and all of Nassau County," Weiss said.
