New Synagogue Being Planned For Woodmere
The congregation is looking to build a new place of worship on West Broadway.

WOODMERE, NY — A new synagogue is in the plans for Woodmere, and it would replace three lots on West Broadway.
The synagogue is under development by Beis Medrash of Woodmere, which is currently run out of a house on Forest Avenue. The new synagogue, which would be located on West Broadway between Forest Avenue and Grant Avenue, is around the corner from the current congregation, and a big step up.
According to documents filed with the Town of Hempstead, the new synagogue will be two stories tall, with worship space on the first floor, with additional seating on the second. There are also plans for three classrooms on the second floor for the congregation's Shul.
