New York American Water Assists in Renovating Hewlett Veterans Plaza

Company joins ceremony unveiling the Five Towns Veterans Monument

New York American Water, alongside The American Legion and The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), recently attended the dedication ceremony for the newly renovated Hewlett Veterans Plaza and the unveiling of the Five Towns Veterans Monument. The project consisted of a complete overhaul of the triangle plaza, which included a new fence, circular masonry decoration and the installation of the Five Towns Veterans Monument.

New York American Water provided some much needed services to upgrade the park’s water supply infrastructure. The upgrades included the installation of a new meter pit and meter setter, piping and meter ensuring a fully functional and dependable water supply to irrigate the new landscaping.

“We are honored to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this worthwhile project and provide Hewlett Veterans Memorial Plaza with the assistance needed to keep it looking beautiful for years to come,” said New York American Water President Brian Bruce.

The Hewlett Veterans Plaza and Five Towns Veterans Monument was completed and unveiled on Friday November 11th2016, in honor of Veterans Day.
