Parade For Nassau Man Celebrating 100th Birthday

HEWLETT, NY — This story is a century in the making!

One of Hewlett's own is celebrating his 100th birthday.

Arthur Feltheimer, a resident of the incorporated village of Woodsburgh, was born on Feb. 26, 1922, although the proper documentation wasn't provided until March 7, the LI Herald reports.

And to mark the amazing milestone, Feltheimer was getting his own parade.

The American Legion Riders started at Congregation Sons of Israel in Woodmere and marched to his home, the Herald said.

Arthur and Harriet Feltheimer celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary earlier this year, having lived in Oceanside for 42 years.
