Passenger Killed When Car Hits Utility Pole: Nassau Police
The driver, Kwesi Williams, faces charges of manslaughter and vehicular manslaughter, police say.

ELMONT, NY — A fatal car accident took place early Friday in Elmont.
Police responded to the crash at 272 Elmont Rd. just after 2 a.m. Officers discovered a 2014 BMW sedan on its side. The investigation determined the vehicle was heading southbound on Elmont Road when it struck a parked car, causing the BMW to roll over and slam into a utility pole, detectives said.
A female passenger, 33, was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later, police said.

The driver, Kwesi Williams, 40, of Queens Village, was injured and transported to an area hospital. After an investigation, Williams was placed into custody, detectives said.
He has been charged with second-degree manslaughter, second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. He'll be arraigned when medically practical, police said in a release.
