#61 - Pick Up a Produce Platter at Woodmere Farms

Nothing makes a nicer presentation at a party or celebration than an artfully arranged fruit or vegetable platter, which is ' forte.  

For the Sabbath and most holidays, Five Towners flock there to place their orders. Available in three sizes at $30, $50 or $60, they’re reasonably priced. With Thanksgiving on the horizon, it’s a great idea as a hostess gift to bring to someone’s home or to compliment your own feast.

Fruits include pineapple, strawberries, orange slices, kiwi, grapes, cantaloupe and honey dew. Not only does it make a great appetizer, but it can also be used as a healthy dessert that will fit in right alongside the pumpkin pie.

Veggie platters have bell peppers, cucumbers, radishes, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, carrots, mushrooms and hicama. Everything is fresh and attractively put together.

Need something last minute?  Woodmere Farms has smaller, pre-made fruit salads and plates, as well as packages of pre-washed, cut vegetables and big garden salads. But if you’ve got the time, buy all the fresh produce you need to create your own platter or salad by handpicking your favorite ingredients and putting it together at home.
