Rear-Ended In Nassau; Car Stolen, Suspects Sought: Police

LAWRENCE, NY — A crash in Lawrence led to a "suspicious encounter," according to police.

A male victim was rear-ended around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday by a stolen, gray 2013 Ford Fusion, with two men inside, police said.

It happened on Central Avenue, police said.

Attempting to document the crash, the victim exited his vehicle. However, the passenger of the Ford Fusion entered the victim's car — which was still running — and drove away, detectives said. The other suspect also drove off, but crashed into a fence on West Broadway. He fled without the vehicle, police said.
