Row Of Valley Stream Businesses Destroyed In Fire
Four stores were destroyed and one more was damaged at the intersection of Rockaway Avenue and West Lincoln Avenue, officials said.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Multiple businesses in downtown Valley Stream were destroyed in a fire early Saturday morning, according to the Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department.
The fire was reported just after 5:30 a.m., after which officials said they quickly determined it was burning in the rear of the businesses at the intersection of Rockaway Avenue and West Lincoln Avenue, extending into the common space between the ceiling and the roof shared by multiple stores.
Four stores were destroyed and one more was damaged, officials said. Three firefighters were injured.
