Hempstead Man Killed In Drive-By Shooting: Police
Police are investigating the shooting, which left one dead and one injured. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — The Nassau County police are investigating the shooting death of a 22-year-old man that occurred in Hempstead early Sunday.
According to police, Hempstead Village police officers responded to a call to 43 High Street at 3:55 a.m. for a report of people shot by someone from a car. When the officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old man who had both been shot.
Both men were taken to the hospital. The 24-year-old was treated and is in stable condition. The 22-year-old, who police identified as Edwin Guerrero, of Hempstead, died from his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
