Serious Crash Leads To DWI Arrest In Nassau
BREAKING: The crash injured the driver and severely injured her passenger, police say.

Police arrested a Woodmere woman Sunday night and charged her with drunk driving after a car accident injured herself and her passenger.
According to police, Susan Rodriquez, 26, of Oak Street, was driving a 2016 Honda HR-V westbound on West Broadway, near Oakland Avenue, in Cedarhurst at 11:24 p.m., when she drove into a utility pole. Rodriquez was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of chest pain.
Her passenger, a 26-year-old man, sustained serious injuries to his head, face and stomach, and is currently listed in stable condition.

Rodriguez is charged with second-degree assault, second-degree vehicular assault and driving while intoxicated. She is scheduled to be arraigned at the hospital on Monday. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
