Shooting At Green Acres Mall; 1 Person Taken To Hospital: Police

The victim was shot in the leg and the shooter is on the loose, Nassau police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A shooting sent police to the Green Acres Mall just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

One person was found with a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to an area hospital, police said.

No other information on his condition was provided.

According to police, a man confronted the victim at the Famous Footwear store and fired one round. The shooter and a second man fled, detectives said.
