LAWRENCE, NY — A cutting-edge way to use libraries is about to take shape in the Five Towns.

Having secured a government grant, the Peninsula Public Library is unveiling smart lockers this week at a cost of $15,000-$17,000, the library said.

A smart locker allows customers more flexibility since they don't have to be inside the library.
