Teen Found Shot To Death In Front Of LI Community Center

Police say the teen was found early Tuesday morning and had been shot multiple times.

A teenager was found shot to death in front of a community center in Lawrence Tuesday morning.

According to police, officers responded to the Five Towns Community center, located at 270 Lawrence Avenue, just after 9 a.m. after receiving calls for an unconscious man. Police found a boy in his late teens lying on the ground in front of the center with multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead by a paramedic at the scene.

The victim has not yet been identified.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this murder is urged to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
