Tests Show Hewlett Point Beach Has High Contamination Levels: Report

EAST ROCKAWAY, NY — One Nassau beach was among the most often that tested positive last year for potentially dangerous fecal contamination, Newsday reported.

Hewlett Point Beach in East Rockaway reached 28% of unsafe levels on testing days, Newsday said.

Twenty-six beaches in Nassau came back with concerning levels in the last year's study, Newsday said.

Island Park Beach is also listed as frequently testing with high levels.
