Trio On Loose After Stealing From Jewelry Store In 5 Towns: Police

CEDARHURST, NY — Police report a robbery that took place Wednesday afternoon in Cedarhurst.

An unknown man and woman entered The Jewelry Showroom on Central Avenue and stole merchandise from showcases, authorities said.

While the woman distracted the employee, the man placed four diamond rings and a diamond bracelet in his pocket, detectives said.

A second man was waiting outside. All three people fled on foot.

The stolen diamond rings have a value of $9,000, while the bracelet is worth $7,000.
