UBS Arena Offers Cashless Options For Refreshments

More than 350 point-of-sale devices will streamline the purchasing process.

ELMONT, NY — More people want the convenience of cashless payment and UBS Arena is offering that option for customers.

Concession stands at the new venue will now provide digital and contactless payment choices using Clover and Fiserv technology.

"Built from the ground up with a premier fan experience in mind, UBS Arena opened on November 20 with cutting-edge technology that prioritizes digital engagement designed to delight our fans before, during, and after every event," Hank Abate, president Arena Operations at UBS Arena, said in a statement. "Grabbing one of our new Islander chicken sandwiches and a drink is a part of the experience for many event attendees, and with Fiserv we are making it easy for fans at UBS Arena to place an order, pick up, and pay in a moment."

The 350 Clover devices will allow hockey fans and concertgoers to quickly get their items and return to their seats.

Geoff Johnson, general manager of Bypass at Fiserv said: "As consumers embrace digital engagement, sporting and event venue operators have a timely opportunity to build better experiences for fans while streamlining their own operations."
