Unloaded Gun Found In Vehicle During Nassau Traffic Stop: Police
Nilser Rivera-Rivas was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, police said.

INWOOD, NY — A traffic stop in Inwood early Saturday led to an arrest on a gun charge.
Nilser Rivera-Rivas, 23, of Far Rockaway, had been observed on Bayview Avenue failing to obey the traffic rules at 1:30 a.m.
During the stop, a police investigation revealed an unloaded firearm in the vehicle, police said.

Rivera-Rivas, 23, was placed under arrest without incident, police said.
He is charged with criminal possession of a firearm and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. He was expected to be arraigned on Saturday.
