Valley Stream Man Claims $1M Powerball Prize

Lottery officials say the man had bought the ticket Dec. 22, and will bring home $651,000 after taxes.

VALLEY STREAM, NY. — A Valley Stream man got an extra payday this month, as New York Lottery officials announced he had finally claimed the $1 million prize that he won on a Powerball ticket purchased Dec. 22.

New York Lottery officials announced Thursday that Valley Stream’s Thomas Rey Tse had claimed his second-prize winning reward, won by purchasing a ticket that matched the first five number drawn in the Dec. 22 drawing.

The numbers were 03, 18, 36, 41, 54 and Powerball 07.

The ticket was purchased at a Shell station on West Merrick Road in Valley Stream, officials said.

Lottery officials said Tse had chosen to receive the payment as a lump sum, which totals $651,000 after taxes.
