Valley Stream Residents Hospitalized After Carbon Monoxide Exposure: Police
Police say they were called to the home Sunday night at 8:50 p.m. and found two women there unresponsive.
VALLEY STREAM, NY. — Seven residents of a Valley Stream home were hospitalized Sunday night after police said they found elevated levels of carbon monoxide in the home.
Nassau County police said they were called to the home on Henrietta Street at 8:50 p.m., where they found two women unresponsive. The unresponsive 22-year-old and 47-year-old were hospitalized for treatment, police said, while department medics were alerted to the presence of carbon monoxide in the home by its CO detectors.
After additional response from the Valley Stream Fire Department, police said five additional residents of the home were hospitalized for CO exposure. Those residents, police said, were aged 2, 10, 22, 28 and 30.
