Valley Stream Senior Hospitalized After Dog Biting Incident: PD

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Valley Stream woman was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after she was bitten by a dog at an East Avenue home, police said.

Nassau County police said the unidentified woman suffered “multiple lacerations” on her body and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police said she is currently listed in stable condition.

As for the dog, police said Nassau County emergency personnel and Town of Hempstead animal control went to the home and removed multiple animals. Police did not say if the dog that bit the woman was a pet, nor did they say what would become of the dog after the incident.
