Veteran Educator Has Homecoming As New Superintendent
Dr. Roxanne Garcia-France was previously the assistant superintendent for the Valley Stream Union Free School District 30.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Dr. Roxanne Garcia-France has been named the next superintendent of schools at the Valley Stream Union Free School District 30.
Garcia-France, who had held the district's assistant superintendent position, returns to Valley Stream on July 1.
She spent the last four years as associate superintendent for curriculum, instructional and educational services at Nassau BOCES.

"We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Garcia-France back to ‘The Friendly Schools,’” Board President Ingrid Wyllie-Dacon said in a statement. "Her familiarity with our students and community, as well as her forward-thinking approach to education, are a perfect fit for District 30."
Garcia-France succeeds Dr. Nicholas Stirling, who announced his retirement earlier this year.

“I am confident that together, we will ensure Valley Stream District 30 continues its legacy of providing innovative 21st-century learning experiences that inspire the next generation of global leaders," Garcia-France said.
She also held assistant superintendent positions in North Bellmore and Roosevelt school districts.
