Water Main Replacement On Washington Avenue In Five Towns

New York American Water (NYAW) will begin replacing the Water Main on Washington Avenue starting Saturday, October 12. During the construction, Washington Avenue at the intersection of Pearsall Avenue will be closed between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.

On Monday and Tuesday, October 14 and 15, Washington Avenue between Central Avenue and the Railroad Crossing be closed until the completion of the project.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL DATES AND TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON WEATHER AND FIELD CONDITIONS. Although every effort will be made to allow residents to leave and return to their driveways, at various times during the day access in and out of your property might be restricted. Traffic flag-men will be present to safely direct traffic as needed, and their directions should be followed for everyone’s safety.
