Woman Causes DWI Car Crash With Child In Five Towns: Police
Natasha Robinson faces charges that include Leandra's Law and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.

HEWLETT, NY — A woman was arrested in Hewlett on Thursday night for drunken driving with a toddler in the vehicle, authorities said.
Natasha Robinson, 37, of Far Rockaway, was stopped near the intersection of Hewlett Avenue and Broadway after causing a crash with another vehicle, police said.
Robinson failed a field sobriety test and was placed in custody. The two-year-old boy in her car was taken to a hospital for evaluation and was released to a family member, detectives said.

The driver of the other car was not hurt.
Robinson is charged with driving while intoxicated, Leandra's Law aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 16, endangering the welfare of a child and leaving the scene of an incident.

She was expected to be arraigned on Friday.
