Woman Punches Officer, Threatens Store Workers: Nassau Police
Jennifer Miles faces charges that include assault and resisting arrest, police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A woman was arrested on Thursday afternoon after getting physical with a police officer and a disturbance at a CVS store.
Jennifer Miles, 28, of Queens, got into a dispute with employees at the CVS on North Central Avenue, police said.
Miles threatened a 26-year-old male employee and a 19-year-old female worker with a knife, detectives said.

She also barricaded herself in the manager's office, refusing to open the door, police said.
Miles eventually left the room with help from officers and the Emergency Services Unit.

While attempting to put her in custody, Miles punched an officer in the face, detectives said.
That officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Miles caused substantial damage to items in the CVS store, police said.
She faces multiple charges, including second-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest. Miles was expected to be arraigned on Friday.
