Woodmere Residents Make a Difference for School Children in Need
Volunteers participate in UJA-Federation of New York's Supplies for Success event

Volunteers filled more than 1,400 new backpacks with school supplies for children in need at UJA-Federation of New York’s annual Supplies for Success backpack assembly event on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. The backpacks will be distributed through Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services, The Educational Alliance, New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), Edith and Carl Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst, Jewish Community Council of Washington Heights – Inwood, and JCC of Marine Park. Supplies for Success, now in its 18th year, has filled nearly 100,000 backpacks, sending students back to school with the tools they need to have a successful year.
