Alternate Side Parking Suspended for Sept. 26
Residents will not need to move their cars as the city observes Yom Kippur.

Alternate side parking has been suspended on Sept. 26 in observance of Yom Kippur, according to the city's Department of Transportation.
But street cleaning and parking meters will still be in effect on the holiday. City schools will also be closed on Wednesday.
Yom Kippur is also known as the Day of Atonement and serves as the holiest day of the year for Jews. It is traditionally observed with a 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer. The holiday concludes the period known as the High Holy Days.
