Annual 'Run for Richie' 9/11 Memorial Ride To Be Held In Forest Hills: What To Know

QUEENS, NY — The Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the NYC Punisher Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club will host the 11th annual “Run for Richie” 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride this weekend.

The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, in Richard Allen Pearlman, a Forest Hills volunteer responder who was among the youngest first responders lost on 9/11.

The ride will begin at Aqueduct Racetrack Parking Lot, 110-00 Rockaway Blvd. in Ozone Park.

Registration opens at 8 a.m., with kickstands up at 11:30 a.m.

The event will feature a procession of emergency vehicles from across the region followed by thousands of motorcycles. All bikes are welcome, and proceeds will benefit Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Pearlman joined the corps’ Junior Corps at age 14 and became a dispatcher before advancing to the Senior Corps at 18. He was 19 when the 9/11 attacks occurred.
