Craft Beer Shop Will Open In Forest Hills This Summer
The combined beer store-and-bar will sell local brews from Astoria and Long Island City.
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS - A new craft beer shop is opening in Forest Hills this summer.
Nemo's Beer Shop at 110-64 Queens Blvd. will sell beers from local New York breweries, the Forest Hills Post reported, with eight beers on draft and about 100 varieties in bottles and cans. The 650-square-foot shop is due to open in June 2019.
Local brews will include the 19-33 lager from Astoria's SingleCut Beersmiths, an IPA from LIC Beer Project and several beers from Long Island City's Fifth Hammer Brewing Company.

“We’re going to get you some of the freshest beer in town since it’s brewed right nearby,” owner Andrew Bronstein told the Forest Hills Post.
Bronstein is a seasoned member of the New York craft beer scene: The 10-year Forest Hills resident worked at Sixpoint Brewery in Red Hook. If Nemo's Beer Shop is a success, he told the Forest Hills Post, he wants to another location in Bayside or Middle Village.

“I want to build a beer community here in Eastern Queens because it’s underground now,” he said.
Customers at Nemo's can drink brews in-store, where a small kitchen will offer bar snacks like a charcuterie plate, or they can fill half-gallon growlers with draft beer to-go. Bronstein also wants to introduce a “beer sharing program,” in which customers bring beers not sold at the store for others to taste, he told the Forest Hills Post.
Prices will range from $3-$6 for canned beers and from $5-$9 for draft beers. The half-gallon growlers will cost $20. To drink beers on-site, consumers will pay a $2 corkage fee.
