Enterprise Rent-A-Car in New York Assists Hofstra University and Habitat for Humanity
Enterprise Rent-A-Car recently worked with Hofstra University and Habitat for Humanity on a Hempstead home.

NEW YORK, NY (December 18, 2015)- Enterprise Rent-A-Car of Queens, the Bronx, and Nassau County recently worked with Hofstra University and Habitat for Humanity on a Hempstead home in honor of “Build Day.”
“At Enterprise, we’re committed to providing assistance within our communities,” said Celestine Crivaro, regional human resources manager for Enterprise in New York. “Our work during ‘Build Day’ is just one way we’re making a difference to help families. What better way to do so than with our dedicated team who calls Hempstead, ‘home.’”
“Enterprise Rent-A-Car has a presence in the Hempstead community. In fact, we have a location just blocks away from this home,” added Deborah Fischer, talent acquisition manager for the New York City Regions of Enterprise. “We felt that this location was important because our customers live here and so do some of our employees.”

During Habitat for Humanity’s Build Day on December 5, 2015, 10 Enterprise employees and Hofstra University students assisted with external housing projects such as the driveway and front yard. The Girl Scouts of Nassau County also provided food and water for the volunteers.
The team dug out the foundation for the driveway and cleared out the sidewalk area to remove weeds for placement of grass for the front yard. “As the weather gets colder, it’s important to have a home that’s able to keep everyone feeling comfortable and safe. We worked with other volunteers to create a living space that’s warm and inviting for a deserving local family,” said Ms. Crivaro.
