Musica Reginae presents String Trios of Gál, Krása & Brahms. With Ensemble Epomeo and Barbara Podgurski

The program will feature Brooklyn's Ensemble Epomeo and include The Complete String Trios of Hans Gál and Hans Krása, two of the most gifted Jewish composers whose destinies were shaped by Nazi persecution. Gál and Krása created works praised for their ”structural genius and contrapuntal mastery” (Gramaphone Magazine). Musica Reginae’s Artistic Director, Barbara Podgurski (piano), will join Ensemble Epomeo for a piano quartet by Brahms. Ensemble Epomeo has just released its newest CD for Avie Records with the String Trios.
