Queens: Members of the Con Brio Ensemble will be performing works by Haydn,Saint-Saens, Sarasate, and others on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 4:30 PM at the Church in the Gardens, 50 Ascan Avenue (3 blocks south of Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills) as the second part of its three concert series at the church.

Critically acclaimed violinist, Alexander Meshibovsky and pianist, Diana Mittler will perform Saint-Saens Sonata in D minor and other selections by Saint-Saens and Sarasate.
Oboist, Alan Hollander will present works for oboe and piano by Haydn, Henriques,and Sargon.
Alexander Meshibovsky studied with Heifetz and has appeared as soloist with major European and American orchestras: Alan Hollander has appeared as conductor and soloist in the New York metropolitan area. He is Professor of Music at Lehman College where he conducts the Lehman College and Community Band and performs with the Lehman Woodwind Quintet. Diana Mittler-Battipaglia is Professor of Music and Choral Director at Lehman College-CUNY.
This concert is made possible by the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the the Queens Council on the Arts. Celebrating its 33rd season, the Con Brio Ensemble performs annual series in Queens, and Manhattan, and is currently in residence at Lehman College-CUNY in the Bronx.
Admission to the concert will be $12.00 ($ 10.00 for students and senior citizens)
