Forest Hills: Your Lowest Gas Prices

At the start of this somewhat shortened workweek, we’ve almost got a clean sweep of the lowest gas prices in the area. It’s been compiled by motortrend.com, as usual.

Every week, we bring you a list of the cheapest price on fuel — from the regular-grade to premium — at gas stations around and in Forest Hills. Usually, that means finding a variety of different businesses.

This week, however, regular, plus-grade and premium gasoline all have their lowest price at one gas retailer: on Metropolitan Avenue.

If you’re looking for regular gas, you can find it at the Sunoco for $3.859 per gallon, which is what passes for a bargain these days.

If you need a little kick, the next step up is plus-grade gasoline, which is at its cheapest in the area at the same location for $3.959 per gallon.

The premium has found the industry low locally at Sunoco as well, going for $4.099 per gallon.

If you need diesel fuel, you’re going to have to up stakes and find a different stop: the Mobil station at 68-27 Woodhaven Blvd. just over the border in Rego Park, where diesel is on sale for $4.599 per gallon.
