Hildegard of Bingen and the Living Light

A one-woman musical-play written and performed by Linn
Maxwell, Hildegard of Bingen was a
12th century prophet, healer and composer. An Abbess ahead of her
time, she was an inventor, scientist, herbologist and visionary genius. Her
radical insights challenged the medieval church. After 900 years of controversy,
she was declared a Saint in 2012.

Linn Maxwell is an internationally
acclaimed mezzo soprano, performing with major orchestras and opera companies in
28 countries. As Hildegard, she accompanies herself on medieval instruments and
shares the mystic’s message of spiritual truth, healing and love for God’s
earth.
