Almost every night all summer and into the fall for the past 3-4 years, there have been a bunch of screaming car engines along the service road of the GCP in Forest Hiils near the area of Flushing Meadows park. This usually starts around 10-11pm and goes on until around 2 or 3 in the morning. It used to be just on the weekends. Lately it's been happening week nights as well. Calls to the two local precincts result in either one telling you the other one handles it. Of course neither ever sends a patrol car out to the area even though this occurs for literally hours at a time in the same place.
These inconsiderate idiots basically just sit in place and spin their tires and scream their engines. Periodically they will race up the GCP and then come back again and start over. Several nights this week, they just sat in place from 2am to just before 3 am with the engines screaming.
I've complained, as have my neighbors. We've called the police, we've called 311, but nothing is done.
This coupled with the loud booming car stereos coming from the same area which literally shake the windows in houses blocks away from the source have turned this peaceful neighborhood into a nightmare for those of us who actually have to work for a living.
