Not much on the new release front this weekend, as studios could be trying to ride the wave of Oscar hopefuls, not to mention avoid programming against the most-watched sporting event in America.

The Woman in Black stars Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe in a departure from the role that made him famous. The period piece centers around the story of a young lawyer who travels to a town where the citizens are terrorized by the ghost of an old woman.

In Big Miracle, Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski, among other celebrities, work to save a trio of stranded whales from under a thick sheet of Arctic ice. The film, is based on true events and set during the Cold War.
