Pedestrian Struck Just North Of Queens Boulevard

A 31-year-old man was struck while crossing 108^th Street at 70^th Road in Forest Hills at just before 9 a.m. Monday morning, police have confirmed.

The vehicle which struck the victim stayed at the scene, and there is no criminality suspected in the incident.

A Hatzolah volunteer ambulance crew arrived at the scene first and transported the pedestrian to Queens Hospital Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The section of 108^th Street where the victim was struck is a frequently traffic- heavy area just north of where 108^th Street intersects with Queens Boulevard, another thoroughfare in the area known for producing a lot of pedestrian accidents.

The area in which the accident occurred is also a hot spot where livery cabs, city buses and cars dropping off pedestrians come together because of its proximity to the and the .

One local resident caught the aftermath of the incident with a camera and quickly posted the photos on Twitter.
