Pedestrian Struck Just North Of Queens Boulevard

Victim in stable condition at Queens Hospital Center.

A 31-year-old man was struck while crossing 108th Street at 70th Road in Forest Hills at just before 9 a.m. Monday morning, police have confirmed.

The vehicle which struck the victim stayed at the scene, and there is no criminality suspected in the incident.

A Hatzolah volunteer ambulance crew arrived at the scene first and transported the pedestrian to Queens Hospital Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The section of 108th Street where the victim was struck is a frequently traffic- heavy area just north of where 108th Street intersects with Queens Boulevard, another thoroughfare in the area known for producing a lot of pedestrian accidents.

The area in which the accident occurred is also a hot spot where livery cabs, city buses and cars dropping off pedestrians come together because of its proximity to the and the .
