RIDGEWOOD SAVINGS BANK LAUNCHES NEW SITE AND SEMINARS TO MAKE DREAM OF HOMEBUYING A REALITY

Ridgewood Savings Bank is offering two avenues to help aspiring homeowners attain their goals: a website featuring important tools and mortgage information, along with a series of in-person Homebuyers’ Seminars to demystify the process.

The recently launched site, www.joyofhomeownership.com, delivers on the promise of its name with a fun but seriously informative host of videos, FAQs, easy-to-use calculators, and interactive tools. The site is tablet and mobile-friendly, and includes options for asking questions to a local mortgage consultant or signing up for a workshop.

“These dual options provide the speed and convenience of digital platforms along with one-on-one attention to evolving customers’ needs,” says Anthony J. Simeone, executive vice president and chief lending officer, Ridgewood Savings Bank. “We want homebuyers to gain information and explore options on the website—but also have in-branch access to a representative who understands their individual situation to answer questions and navigate the process.”

At the Homebuyers’ Seminars, which Ridgewood has sponsored for the past 15 years, an array of experts will bring participants through the home-buying steps to clarify what can be an intimidating process. Bank representatives, mortgage consultants, and an architect and attorney will shed light on important topics such as the initial cost analysis, criteria for choosing the right home, and the do’s and don’ts of mortgage applications.
