Swell your soul

A sonata for piano and violin by Respighi was stunningly performed in Church-in-the-Gardens last Sunday. It was one of several exhiliratingly beautiful pieces of music played with virtuosity  by CON BRIO, a rare gem that brings gorgeous chamber music, causing your ears and heart to dance and your soul to swell with the deepest joy. Visit their website. I have become a groupie. The songs by Brahms, professionally and sensitively sung by baritone Darian Worrell , are still in my head. The group, headed by tireless and talented Diana Mittler-Battipaglia, will be there again on February 9. Don't miss a chance to be transported to musical heaven.
Stop at Bonelle bakery nearby for bread and pastry worthy of the occasion, like amazing lemon meringue and nutty biscotti. The coffee is quite good as well.
