Turner, GOP Slam Taxes at Roundtables

Republicans hold business outreach events on Affordable Care Act.

U.S. Rep. Bob Turner, R-Forest Hills, met with business owners from his district in Brooklyn on Friday.

Turner's event was coordinated with other Republican efforts across the country, called "Stop the Tax Hike," seeking to paint the Affordable Care Act as a cost burden on small businesses.

“I have been speaking with local small business owners and they are rightfully frustrated with President Obama’s inability to understand how this tax hike will hamper their ability to grow and create jobs," Turner said. "In June, for the first time in 44 months, small businesses cited taxes above poor sales as the single most important problem they are facing today."
