Friday - Watch a Movie at Kew Gardens Cinemas
Catch one of the current crop of independent movies playing at nearby Kew Gardens Cinemas. Films screening this weekend include “Blue Jasmine,” “When Comedy Went to School,” “The Hunt,” “Fruitvale Station” and “The Way, Way Back.”

Saturday - Back to School Fitness
A back to school youth sports conditioning class will be held at the Ehrenreich Austin Playground, located at Austin Street and 75th Road, at 9 a.m. The class will cost $10 per child.

Pianist Ken Viosin will perform popular standards – including pieces by George Gershwin, Barry Manilow and Billy Joel – during a concert at the Forest Hills Library. The event will run from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Saturday
