B And Q Trains Stalled During Rush Hour, MTA Says
One straphanger reported it took an hour for her Q train to make eight stops.
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Manhattan-bound service on the B and Q lines slowed to a crawl Thursday morning after a train's brakes were activated in a Brooklyn station, according to the MTA.
When a train stalled in the DeKalb Avenue station at about 8:30 a.m., northbound B and Q trains were rerouted to the R line until about 9:15 a.m., said the MTA.
Straphangers reported commutes that took up to 90 minutes and, even after B and Q service was restored, the MTA warned riders to expect delays.
