Cumbo Demands Cessation of REBNY’S Spending on Her Campaign
“Today, I am officially requesting that the Real Estate Board of New York cease its independent expenditures in support of my campaign,” Laurie Cumbo, 35th District City Council Candidate said. “While I am grateful for the outpouring of community support I have received throughout my run for office, I did not request REBNY’s help. I have built my campaign on honest practices, and this race should not be dominated by the influence of special interest groups. I am focused on finding ways to improve affordable housing prospects for the people of this community, and I remain an independent advocate for our neighborhoods. I did not solicit the support of REBNY and I respectfully urge them to stop spending money on my campaign.”
