Cafeteria will be playing an acoustic set of songs off the new album The White Woods at Urban Vintage this Sunday at 3pm. Cafeteria is the Clinton Hill-based music project of James "Kelly" McCobb, a Pratt Institute alumnus who has lived and worked in the neighborhood since 1992. A founding member of the indie/punk/psychedelic rock band MX2, who played many classic New York venues between 2000 and 2004, McCobb will be playing 2 and a half minute long pop songs about love, loss and redemption with shades of the Velvet Underground and early REM.
