Your child will engage in sports, fitness, and outdoor adventures, and take part in many of New York City's rich cultural and educational opportunities. Campers will hike through local parks, learn to play sports, swim in Parks pools, travel to museums, engage in environmental education and participate in a wide variety of structured activities. Each day the campers will participate in project base activities that will challenge their minds, get their creative juices flowing with fun and engaging programs such as:Young Entrepreneurs 3A's Magazine Clubu Dance and Theater Community Service Swimming Recreation and Games Standard Academics Trips and more…. We couldn't be more grateful to all the volunteers over the years who have helped beautify the 23-acre Jay Estate (wearing every color T-shirt from yellow to purple)!! From uncovering hidden flagstone paths, to raking leaves and planting annuals. We've participated in every I Love My Parks Day with Parks &amp; Trails NY and NY State Parks since 2012! Partner groups have included the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Mount Vernon Youth Bureau, Yale Alumni, Con Edison, Rye Neck School, Mamaroneck School, Stanford Alumni, the Rye Garden Club, Rye Sustainability Committee and many more.&nbsp;

Brooklyn Conservatory of Music

The OMNI Ensemble is pleased to announce the conclusion of its 43rd season at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Saturday evening, May 2, 2026 at 8:00 pm. Music Director/Flutist David Wechsler will host an evening of woodwind quintet and piano music. Compositions are Karel Husa’s Serenade for woodwind quintet and piano, Valerie Coleman’s Afro Cuban Concerto for wind quintet, Chen Yi’s Woodwind Quintet, and David Wechsler’s Divertimento
for Wind Quintet and Piano. Assisting musicians are Elizabeth Kieronski - oboe, Jeffrey Adler - clarinet, Atsuko Sato – bassoon, Eric David - horn, and Sylvia Kahan, piano. 
Continuing as the chamber music group in residence at the Brooklyn Conservatory, The OMNI Ensemble will continue to perform concerts of enormous variety all designed to provide their audience with a musical diversity not ordinarily encountered by one chamber music group. Throughout the season they perform in the recital hall at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. 

Tickets at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music are $25.00, $15.00 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available in advance on the OMNI Ensemble website or at the door prior to the performance.

The Brooklyn Conservatory is located at 58 Seventh Ave. at the corner of Lincoln Place in Park Slope, Brooklyn. It is in easy access of public transportation, Q or B train to Seventh Ave., or IRT #2 and 3 to Grand Army Plaza. For further information and ticket reservations, call 718 859-8649. 
The OMNI Ensemble is a chamber music created to perform programs of enormous variety, with music ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century, including Western classical music, jazz, and electronic and improvised music, all designed to provide their audience with a musical experience not ordinarily encountered in a single music event. Since its inception in 1983 the group has featured many guest artists including multi instrumentalist/composer David Amram, performance artist John Kelley, Singer Erika Banks, Kumongo player Jin Hi Kim, Saxophonist Roy Nathanson, Mezzo Sopranos Catherine Ciesinski and Charlotte Hellekant, Harpsichordists Gerald Ranck and Rebecca Pechefsky, and keyboardist Marco Benevento. The group has commissioned works by David Lang, Lee Hyla, Allen Shearson, &amp; Michael Bushnell, and performed new pieces by Jim Lahti, Eric Klein, and David Wechsler.

Indigo Goodson-Fields is a writer, poet, and birder based in Brooklyn. Her forthcoming book, entitled Essential Birding is an anthology about the importance of birding in the lives of Black birders across the U.S. and will be published by OR Books in fall 2026.
