Man Shot In The Chest In Fort Greene: FDNY

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A man was rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon after he was shot near Carlton Avenue, police said.

FDNY were called to 87 Carlton Avenue, an apartment building near the Walt Whitman Houses, just after 3 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said. They took the man, who had been shot in the chest, to Methodist Hospital.

Police and FDNY did not have information about the man's condition around 3:30 p.m. The spokesman did not know whether the shooting had happened inside the building or on the street.

Videos from the scene show that police cars were setting up outside of the building.
