Map: Follow The Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl Saturday

National Independent Bookstore Day is Saturday. Stick your nose in a book and celebrate.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — Calling all book nerds — tomorrow National Independent Bookstore Day and the second annual Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl. So get ready.

What does that mean? It means if stifling city heat or a weird love of 1970s mystery novels isn’t enough to entice you into one the borough’s many small bookstores, you’ll have another incentive. If you visit five indie bookstores and post about each one on social media (#bkbookstorecrawl), you’ll have a chance to win a $25 gift card at any one of them. Just be sure to enter the raffle when you’re done.

There are a slew of possibilities for paperback hunting in Fort Greene — as is made evident by this handy map from the Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl organizers. And anyone strolling through Cobble Hill will get a sneak peek at Emma Straub’s new bookstore, Books Are Magic.
